The main conference room has
been fitted with a 77” diagonal interactive
whiteboard and a projector with multiple input
capabilities. The usual crow’s nest of wires was
avoided by using a wireless Genesys projection
system for laptop and video connection.
The distributed audio system
includes eight omni-directional boundary
microphones, a Digital Signal Processor (DSP), a
Dual Channel Amplifier and a wide dispersion
ceiling mounted speaker. One of the major concerns
during the designing process was to preserve the
beauty of the custom-made conference table. It was
achieved by mounting highly sensitive microphones
at strategic positions under the table, so there
was no need to drill even once into the
magnificent piece of furniture. The dynamic sound
system automatically senses and adjusts itself to
prevent feedback.
.

Single point control of the
video and audio system is accomplished using a
processor and wireless, programmable, touch-panel
remote control.
The Polycom VSX 7000s video
conferencing unit interfaces with the projector,
and multi-conferencing capabilities with three
locations can be established on ISDN or IP.
Lighting is controlled in the
boardroom via electronic controllers permitting
operation by untrained hands. Room aesthetics are
maintained by having the projector concealed into
the ceiling when not in use.
Since the boardroom has glass
walls on two sides, shades controlled by remote
control have been installed to minimize sound
reverberations.
